Changing the Size of an Image

To change the size of the image go to image, image size. If constrain proportions is checked whenever you change the height the width will change along with it. Uncheck it to change them both separately. Always leave inches selected. I myself never mess with the pixels themselves. Changing the size of the image will change the size of the file itself. When you go to change the image size you’ll find that the entire image is resized. To add or subtract from the width and height separately you will need to go to image, canvas and from there you can type a number under height or width to change the size. Changing the resolution will also change the size of the image and the file. To zoom in or out of the image by typing in a number at the bottom left of the screen or you can select the zoom tool from the toolbar. It is best to make sure you don’t have too many files on your computer if saving larger files. Try to keep my Photoshop files small.
